Quick Tip Tuesday- FamilySearch ID number

Today on Quick Tip Tuesday, I’m going to show you a unique identifier for your ancestors on FamilySearch.

There are so many names that are alike on FamilySearch. Sons are named after fathers¬†and grandfathers…. and great-grandfathers. The ID number is a great way to identify each ancestor as a unique person.

Use the ID number as a placeholder if you need to come back to a person later. Just write down the number and search for them.

If you need help or want to share this ancestor with someone else just send them the ID number and they don’t have to search for the ancestor.

Hope this helps you all out!
